THE ICONIC CARBON COCKY AWARDS HAVE NOW GONE NATIONAL!

The Carbon Cocky Awards are now open to all landholders in Australia who are achieving excellence in Carbon Farming techniques which deliver improved soil carbon sequestration, water management, solar harvesting, energy efficiency and renewable energy OR who have developed innovative techniques or inventions to improve farm based carbon storage or emissions reduction. 

Next year inaugural State Carbon Cocky Awards will be held throught Australia, with State winners moving through to the National Carbon Cocky Awards at Carbon Farmers Week each year.

How do you apply, or nominate another landholder?

Complete your Application Form (page 2 of the application & nomination form) OR nominate another Landholder by completing your Nomination Form (page 3 of the application & nomination form).

Applicants MUST enter in the Best Practice Award Category. Applicants may then choose to nominate in all or any of the remaining three Award Categories. Complete your Nomination/Application Forms and send it to Jan Grady by fax 02 6882 0504, email jangrady@innovent.com.au or mail to PO Box 640 DUBBO NSW 2830.

Applications

All applications submitted by landholders are required to demonstrate how they have met the judging criteria, or are working towards meeting the criteria. Please keep your submissions clear and concise. To be eligible you do not have to fulfil every criterion. These are listed as a guide.
All applications are welcome.

Assessment

A Carbon Farmers of Australia (CFA) representative will contact you regarding your application. Your application is then forwarded to an independent  expert panel for assessment. You will be assessed against a standard set of criteria to determine your potential to deliver improved soil carbon, water management, solar harvesting, energy efficiency and renewable energy and/or your creativity in  developing  innovative techniques or inventions to improve farm based sequestration or emissions reduction.

When will the Award Winners be announced?

The judges will choose 4 Finalists for each Award.

All Finalists will be invited to attend the National Carbon Cocky Gala Awards Dinner to be held on Wednesday 28th September in Dubbo as part of Carbon Farming Week 2011.

Finalists of each Award will be presented with a Certificate on stage, and then the Winner will be announced and presented with a personalised trophy, reimbursement of their Delegate Registration Fee to  the Carbon Farming Conference and $1,000 prize money.
