Skye is the Co-Chief Executive Officer of Climate Friendly – a profit-for-purpose organisation that delivered over 20 million tonnes of carbon abatement by the end of 2020, and with plans to scale up to 100 million tonnes by 2025. The company achieves its goals by supporting rural, regional, and remote Australians including farmers, foresters, and Traditional Custodians to reduce Australia’s greenhouse gas emissions and regenerate the landscape through carbon farming. A sustainable land use specialist, Skye has over 15 years of experience working on land-based carbon policies and projects in the government and private sectors, as well as in research and advisory roles. As Co-CEO Skye leads the business development and supply side of Climate Friendly. She is passionate about effective communication and taking practical actions that deliver sustainable environmental, social, and economic change, including advancing reconciliation action. Elected to the Board of the Carbon Market Institute in 2021, Skye is a respected leader in the sector inspiring organisations, researchers, and policymakers to innovate, raise standards and deliver high integrity carbon abatement.
