Dr Thakur is a Carbon Farming Technical Manager at Thomas Elders Institute (TEI), a Research Development and Extension arm of Elders. Thakur is a lead Soil Carbon Scientist and well-experienced professional in national and international soil carbon accounting standards, soil carbon dynamics, soil health, and enhancing soil C levels in the agricultural systems. Thakur completed his PhD in carbon accounting from CQUniversity Australia in 2012 and contributed significantly to developing Australian soil carbon methodologies under the ERF as well as reviewing several international standards. In this session, Thakur will be speaking about an international soil carbon method (VM0042) under the voluntary carbon standards (VERRA) whether Australian Farmers can have choice including Australian ERF soil C projects!
