Biography

Thomas Schroeder

Thomas has 20+ years of international experience in climate action. He is a key member of South Pole’s leadership team in Australia, working with private and public sector clients. He is responsible for developing carbon and biodiversity projects across Australia, drawing on South Pole’s global leader role.

Prior to working with South Pole, he worked for leading Swiss retailer Migros, where he founded m-way electric mobility stores. He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland. Thomas is a member of the Environmental Advisory Committee of Waverley Council in Sydney’s East. He was also a Board member of Climate-KIC Australia, a Knowledge Innovation Community creating a climate-resilient Australia for all by catalysing cross-sectoral responses to climate change, and of Natural Carbon, an Australian carbon developer focusing on Indigenous fire management projects.
