Pip Band is the Manager for Sustainability Strategy & Stakeholder at Meat & Livestock Australia, the red meat research and marketing organisation. Pip manages the Australian Beef Sustainability Framework, including stakeholder relations across industry and external stakeholders for the purpose of effective collaboration. Pip also works to ensure alignment of research and adoption programs to achieve continual improvement across the key priority areas of the framework, including carbon neutrality, balance of tree & grass cover, animal welfare, economic resilience, antimicrobial resistance and work health & safety. Pip has enjoyed 10 years in the beef industry and prior to that held positions in sustainability and corporate affairs roles in finance and FMCG following a brief stint as a journalist. Pip has a Masters in Public Policy and a Bachelors in Journalism.
